Influence, style and craftsmanship
What influences an artist? Parents, schools, teachers, friends, media? All of the above, but the question isn’t what influences the artist, it is what drives them to push towards excellence? And the answer is unique to each of them. When there is passion there is life, and inside that growing in the belly of the mind is the need to create and put forth your best work. Life is a journey some have said, and it is true as well for art. As is the case with all ventures individuals peak at different times. Some peak early like athletes, others much later like academics or scientists. It is impossible to predict exactly when if ever it will happen, but the trick is to recognize and run with it when you do. For me, it is now.
Art has always been a passion, but the development has taken time. Not just to draw, and paint, but to hone in on a unique skillset and craft something truly unique. For many years I have created various works of art, sold some occasionally, done work for friends, done small shows at colleges, and private academies, and while the reach of my work has gone as far west as Los Angeles, and east to New York, it was not until 2021 that the strong sense to use a new medium that can be seen globally and reproduced to be enjoyed and displayed by all. This is when Aritfex Enim was born.
